CWSO Mini-Conference Attendees,

Thank you for your support for the Creative Writing Studies Organization by registering to attend our mini-conference! It’s been a wild ride of a day for all of us. We just wanted to update you to let you know that, as AWP is still on, our Mini-Conference is still on.

This academic year, we scheduled the special one-day version of our conference in lieu of the traditional multi-day fall conference 2019 in order to expand our reach to new scholars who would already be attending AWP. We hope you understand that our conference this year was organized to be reliant on AWP to a certain extent, so our board’s decision to hold our small conference this Wednesday was contingent on a much larger body. We understand if you are canceling your plans to travel to San Antonio and want to express our support for your decision, whether it be connected to personal, political, family, or other concerns.

We are looking into ways to share the proceedings of the conference to those who are unable to attend.

In any case, we send our best to you in this strange time and hope to see you in October at our traditional fall conference in Ohio.
